Jason has had a rich and diverse career in healthcare that affords him broad perspective in his work at Seae Ventures. Immediately prior to co-founding Seae, Jason served Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) as well as the President and CEO of Zaffre, a wholly-owned subsidiary and venture-arm of BCBSMA. He was formerly an executive vice president for Health Dialog, an international health care analytics company, principal at Mercer Human Resource Consulting; vice president at Imagitas, a targeted marketing firm; and vice president and president at Ceridian Performance Partners Canada.

Tuoyo is a venture capital investor with over 20 years of finance and investment experience along with a deep commitment to healthcare, entrepreneurship, and innovation. He was a founding team member of Zaffre Investments, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’ (“BCBSMA”) venture subsidiary. At Zaffre, he managed the financial and day-to-day operations of the firm, while also serving on the boards of several portfolio companies. Previously, he established BCBSMA’s strategic investments program. He led all aspects of mergers and acquisitions activity and sourced, executed and oversaw transactions of over $200 million in early to growth stage companies.

Arianne brings almost 20 years of experience in finance and operations leadership in healthcare and technology, ranging from early-stage venture backed startups to Fortune 500 organizations.
Arianne previously served as vice president of finance at Buoy Health and prior to that she led finance and human resources at Qcentive, an early stage company building technology to administer value based payments contracts. Her career started off at Ernst & Young, serving clients in the Boston, Financial Services practice.
Arianne currently serves on the boards of the following portfolio companies: Cayaba Care, Needed, Goalsetter, Twentyeight Health, Health in Her HUE and is a board observer on Willow Health.

Erica began her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan before transitioning into digital health, having most recently held the role of Chief Operating Officer with Hurdle Health. A former founder and seasoned digital health operator with over two decades of experience, Erica excels at early-stage healthcare startups, GTM strategy, and operations.

Justin brings a breadth of life sciences and venture experience to Seae. Previously, he was an Associate at Pathways Bioventures, a biotechnology venture capital firm. There, he initiated a partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to help PhD and postdoctoral students commercialize their research. Prior to that, he was a consultant at Alexion Pharmaceuticals. He started his career as an analyst at Houlihan Lokey.

Karlos brings healthcare investing and consulting experience to the Seae team, most recently as a Senior Fellow at the Princeton University Investment Company. He has held investing roles at Hatch Biofund management, Nassau Street Ventures and spent three years as a consultant for Trinity Partners.

Molly most recently worked at Jefferies in their Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining Jefferies, Molly worked at Aegis Ventures to launch their Caire platform, and co-founded a non-profit ibRecruit to support women in finance. Molly is passionate about supporting founders on their innovative missions to build equitable healthcare companies, with particular interests in women’s and mental health.

Roberto is the founder of Sequential Ventures, a firm investing in overlooked founders at the intersection of SDoH and technology at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages. He began his career as a digital health and medtech banker at Silicon Valley Bank and also assisted with the launch of L’Attitude Ventures, a $101M venture fund focused on backing U.S. Latino entrepreneurs, as well as Health Innovation Capital, a pediatrics-focused venture firm.

Leah has over 20 years of experience working across a range of healthcare and consumer focused businesses. She most recently consulted with health plans and growth companies on strategy and product positioning, both independently and as part of the healthcare practice at Slalom Consulting. Previously, she was a Senior Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) where she worked across strategy, innovation and corporate venture with Zaffre Investments, BCBSMA’s investment arm. She has also been a Director at Health Dialog and as a consultant across a variety of industries including consumer goods, education and financial services.

Tricia Brock has over 20 years of private equity experience and venture experience, overseeing the operational, financial, and administrative aspects of the firm. She has spent the bulk of her career at Excel Venture. Prior to that, she was a Manager in the Global Income Unit at State Street Corporation. Tricia is a member of several industry organizations such as the NVCA CFO Taskforce, Women in Alternative Assets (WIAA), and served on the Board of the Financial Executives Alliance (FEA).
